The Board of Directors (collectively referred to as Board Members) is the governing body of the Chapter, responsible for ensuring that all Chapter activities are conducted in accordance with AFSP Bylaws, policies and Chapter Operating Procedures.
The Chapter Chair shall serve as the top volunteer officer of the Chapter, providing leadership to ensure that all Chapter activities are conducted in accordance with AFSP Bylaws, policies and Chapter Operating Procedures.
The Chapter President shall serve as the principal spokesperson of the Chapter on all scientific, medical, and programmatic matters. The President should be a mental health professional.
The Chapter Secretary shall serve as the official record keeper for the Chapter.
The Chapter Treasurer shall serve as the top volunteer financial officer of the Chapter, and shall ensure that the Chapter’s finances are maintained and managed in accordance with AFSP Bylaws, policy and Chapter Operating Procedures, as well as all applicable federal and state law. The Treasurer should have an accounting or financial management background.
