Fundraising is very important for the vitality of a Chapter. In order to bring AFSP’s name and mission to the Chapter’s area by providing programs, trainings, advocacy, etc. a Chapter needs the funds, the public recognition, the volunteer base, and the awareness that these events bring to its communities.
A Chapter must conduct:
- At least one Out of the Darkness Community Walk (held in the Fall)
National and Field Staff will help Chapters plan and conduct each event, as well as provide the tools needed to help make each event as successful as possible.
*It is important to note that even though Chapters will receive the necessary attention from National and Field Staff, the success of these events is equal to the commitment, cooperation, and devotion from the Chapter’s Board and volunteers.
