Individuals who would like to create a Memorial Fund through DonorDrive are provided with the option to support a local Chapter as well as the National office when setting up their fundraising page. This way Chapters can receive financial credit for Memorial Funds they help create.
Accounting of funds for each Memorial Fund will be centralized through AFSP’s National office. If a Chapter is selected by an individual when creating their webpage, 50% of the net proceeds will be available to the designated Chapter for approved programs in the local market area, jointly agreed to by AFSP. If a Chapter is not selected, 100% of the net proceeds will go to the National Office.
If your Chapter encourages an individual to create a Memorial Fund but they decide to not use the DonorDrive tool, the Chapter should contact the National Office to make them aware that the proceeds from that certain Memorial Fund should be split with their specific Chapter.
