About the Program
(for survivors who received a visit)
Promotion & Publicity
Just for SOPCs—View this on-demand, 95-minute webinar to learn all the steps necessary to successfully implement the Survivor Outreach Program for your local chapter. Also a great refresher to review methods of promoting the program, completing intakes, and more. Watch any time, day or night, as many times as you'd like.
If you're watching for the first time, be sure to fill out the confirmation page at the end so we know you have completed this step towards becoming an SOPC.
*This orientation is ONLY for AFSP SOPCs and field staff. It is NOT to be distributed to anyone else.*
As an SOPC, you are required to watch the 80-minute SOP Visit Volunteer Training webinar so you will be familiar with exactly how Visit Volunteers are being trained. Watching the webinar does not qualify you to go out on visits. If you want to go out on visits in addition to serving as your Chapter's SOPC, you must apply at www.afsp.org/outreachprogram and go through the interview process. A link to the webinar is available at www.afsp.org/outreachprogram/volunteers.
