Annual Report
This has been an extraordinary year for suicide prevention in our nation -- one of change, growth and promise, but also a year of new challenges. With more than 32,000 Americans dying by suicide each year and the suicide rate trending upward, there is great urgency to do more to prevent suicide.
Our challenge is clear: to reverse the trend and reduce suicide in our country. The opportunity to do so is equally clear: to develop the resources, expedite the research, advocacy and programs, and MAKE SUICIDE PREVENTION A NATIONAL PRIORITY.
