National Survivors of Suicide Day 2009
In 2009 the Illinois Chapter of AFSP held the 2009 National Survivors of Suicide Day Conference on Saturday, November 21st at Renaissance Chicago O'Hare. This conference began with a lunch buffet and networking. Afterwards, we joined together with survivors throughout the country to watch a nationally televised webcast to learn about coping with and healing from a suicide loss. Afterwards, a panel of local survivors shared the various ways that they have worked through their grief. Small groups will follow and a meaningful closing ceremony will end our day. The cost was $20 per participant.
