Chicago Marathon 2010

Run to raise awareness! Join our AFSP Chicago Marathon Team and run the marathon to benefit the organization. Plan are just starting, and interested parties are encouraged to contact Dean Savakis, committee chair, to discuss participation.

BBQ Throwdown 2010 Planning Meeting

Join us to help plan the 2nd annual BBQ Throwdown Event! This is the first planning meeting - we need your help developing a timeline, forming committees and recruiting more committee members. Death of a Salesman at Raven Theatre: AFSP Benefit Performance

Chasing the Dream. Authur Miller's quintessential masterpiece depicts an ordinary man, Willy Loman, a traveling salesman, in desperate pursuit of the American Dream for his family. Michael Menendian will direct.

National Survivors of Suicide Healing Conference

Join the Greater Chicago/Illinois Chapter of AFSP at the 2009 National Survivors of Suicide Day Conference on Saturday, November 21 from 11am to 3:30pm at the Renaissance Chicago O'Hare, 8500 W. Bryn Mawr Ave., Chicago (just south of I-90)

This conference will begin with a lunch buffet and networking. Afterwards, we will join together with survivors throughout the country to watch a nationally televised webcast to learn about coping with and healing from a suicide loss. Afterwards, a panel of local survivors will share the various ways that they have worked through their grief. Small groups will follow and a meaningful closing ceremony will end our day.

The cost is $20 per participant.
