Tribute Gifts and Memorial Funds
Gifts given in memory or honor of a loved one support the research, education, awareness, and survivor programs that make AFSP the leading not-for-profit suicide prevention organization. Tribute gifts provide hope that others will avoid the tragedy of suicide. AFSP will always notify the family or friends of the person being honored as long as the contact information is included with the gift.
To make a donation, please click "Donate Now" in the upper right corner of this screen.
A memorial fund can be established with a minimum gift of $2,500 per year, renewable annually, and grow cumulatively as contributions are made. Funds may be started through general cash contributions, fundraisers, gifts in-lieu of flowers, and may grow through the contributions of family, friends, business associates and others who wish to honor the memory of the individual.
A fund beginning at $5,000 offers the opportunity to designate contributions to support specific facets of AFSP’s mission; including support of educational programs, research, or survivor programs and activities.
Memorial Fund establishers will receive an engraved picture frame, a quarterly update listing the fund’s donors, recognition in AFSP’s Lifesavers Newsletter and Annual Report, and lastly, the opportunity to post a photo and description on the AFSP memorial site.
A Memorial Fund is a great way to support the work of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention and to honor the memory of a loved one.
