The Out of the Darkness Community Walks are AFSP’s signature fundraising campaign.
Every fall, family members, friends, and colleagues walk 3–5 miles together in hundreds of communities across the nation to prevent suicide, raise awareness, and end the stigma that surrounds depression and other mental disorders.
With each stride, our walkers save lives, honor loved ones lost to suicide and raise funds to support AFSP’s vital mission.
Below are the walks being held in your state. For a complete list, click here.
Little Rock Out of the Darkness Walk
The 6th Annual Little Rock Out of the Darkness Walk for Suicide Prevention is currently scheduled for early November at the Clinton Presidential Center in the River Market area. Last year's walk included more than 500 attendees. Let's strive to have more people involved this year.
Please contact Tyler West, Out of the Darkness Walk Chair, to volunteer.
Northwest Arkansas Out of the Darkness Walk
Tentative plans are underway to host a second walk in Northwest Arkansas. Last year's walk was at Lake Fayette Trail, Fayetteville, Arkansas in late October. This year should include a similar walk.
