NCAC Thanks Outgoing Board Chair, Steve Iselin, for Three Years of Service

Thanks, Steve!

Board Members and volunteers with the National Capital Area Chapter came out to thank NCAC's founding Board Chair, Steve Iselin (right of the sign), who is stepping down as Chairman.

On October 31, 2013, Steve Iselin, NCAC Board Chair (2010-2013) will step down from his position on the Board. Steve has been an integral part of the NCAC since its inception--leading efforts to bring a chapter of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) to our Nation's Capital.

During his time as Board Chair, the NCAC has seen tremendous growth in the number of volunteers, funds raised, and the number of people in our local community who are aware of AFSP and suicide prevention. In addition to serving as Board Chair, Steve also has served as Walk Chair for the Fairfax NOVA Out of the Darkness Community Walk for  the past several years.

While Steve is stepping down as Board Chair, he will continue to serve on the Board as an At-Large Member and will continue volunteering with the chapter. Vicki Johnson will assume the role of Board Chair beginning on November 1, 2013. Thank you, Steve, for all you have done for AFSP, our local chapter, and the many lives touched by your work! And thank you as well, Vicki, for taking on such an important role for the NCAC!
