Get Involved

Through the contribution of their time, talent, and passion, our volunteers are leading the movement to prevent suicide in local communities across the nation.

They are the driving force behind increasing the public’s awareness of suicide as a public health issue that is preventable. Together, our chapter volunteers deliver innovative prevention programs for schools and business, reach out to survivors of suicide loss, organize fundraising events, and act as a go-to resource for their entire community.

Whatever your background, strengths, or interests, our chapter needs you. Let’s make a difference in the lives of those who have been touched by suicide in our community. Please join us today.

How you can help our Washington Chapter

Our chapter is working hard in our great state to fight for suicide prevention, and to support those who have experienced suicide loss.  We are volunteer lead and there are many opportunities for volunteering on a one-off basis, or commit to joining a committee and supporting our chapter year-round.

Upcoming Volunteer Opportunities

We need volunteers to help through-out the year with a wide range of tasks such as attending community outreach events representing our chapter, help organize various events, share our resources in the community, and raise awareness about suicide prevention.

Help us plan the Community Walks

We need you! All of our Out of the Darkness Community Walks in Washington State are volunteer planned. Without your time and talents, we could not do what we do!

Remembrance Activities - Medical Support - And More!

To get involved in planning a Community Walk, please fill-out the Washington State Walk Planning Committee Volunteer Interest Form.
