Being Left Behind and Suicide among Rural Chinese Elderly: A Psychological Autopsy Case Control Study
In rural China being left behind by your adult child may increase risk for suicide in the elderly because of loneliness, lower social support, and life stress. Psychological autopsies of people age 65 or older who died by suicide will be conducted to look at possible risk factors.
